Biography:
Life has already been an amazing journey for one as young as Cristie Stevens, the founder and owner of Cosmopolitan Funding Group. And the journey is truly just beginning for her, with many goals to reach up ahead.
Cristie is a southern Oregon girl born and raised in Medford – although she graduated from Sunset High in 1989. Then it was back to Southern Oregon to attend both College of the Siskiyous, and Southern Oregon State College, where this enterprising young woman started her first successful company – a window distributorship in Medford – while still attending college and only in her 20’s.
Cristie works relentlessly with the Oregon Association of Mortgage Professionals (OAMP) to try to improve the ethics in the mortgage industry. She’s been on the Board of Directors since 2003, and serves as the chair of the volunteer committee. She's now serving as the President-elect for OAMP. She stays in close touch with state and federal regulators. “You really have to know what is happening in your industry, and where it is going so that you can be ahead of the curve. This is a very large focus of mine.” An honorary member of the Better Business Bureau and National Association of Mortgage Brokers, Cristie was nominated as Business Woman of the Year in 2002, 2003, and 2004, by the National Republican Congressional Committee.
